Darn it, now you've got me lookin'!

I checked NBCOlympics.com and found out that there are quite a few southern hemisphere countries competing, but usually they are only sending 1-3 competitors and don't really stand a chance. Chile, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, Ethiopia, Ghana, and India are all in the games in addition to the Aussies and the Kiwis. This is Peru's first Winter Olympics ever, with one guy doing cross country skiing because he learned about it from his American wife. Neat, huh?

Yes, Wally, thanks for doing this research. Ethiopia at the winter olympics? That's pretty cool, who would have known? I looked it up, and they have a lone CC skiier. So many good marathoners come from that part of the world, it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch, except for the lack of snow part.

And I have to say that the coolest guys in the olympics have to be the USA aerial ski jumpers. Besides telecommuters, who else gets to work in their pajamas? And these guys wear 'em in public!
