When and where is practice?
Please email circlecitysocialites@gmail.com for details on our next open membership session.

What are the requirements for skaters?
To join the Circle City Socialites, you must be female, at least 18 years old, have all protective equipment (helmet, knee/elbow/wrist guards, mouthguard) and roller skates. You’ll need to get health insurance through USA Roller Sports ($55 per year) upon joining the league.

To join the Race City Rebels, you must be male, at least 18 years old, and have the equipment and insurance as specified above.

How time-consuming is this?
A great thing about CCS is the lack of mandatory attendance. But after a few awesome rounds on the rink, most girls get hooked and want to skate all the time. If you’re interested in skating in a bout, you should plan on coming to as many of our practices as possible (three a week is ideal, more if you're a superhero).

Will I get hurt?
You might. Many of us have never suffered more than bruises (badges of pride) and sore muscles. But roller derby is a full-contact sport and injuries do happen. That’s why we wear full protective gear (knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards, helmet, mouth guard, sometimes even a tailbone pad) at every practice.

What if I don't want to skate?
We're always looking for volunteers! We're currently looking to fill openings in our ref crew, stats crew, and general volunteer pool. If you are interested, please email us for a list of our current requirements and openings.

How can I get in touch with CCS?
Email us if you are interested in skating, being a referee, volunteering, or if you just want to send us some derby love!
